Inflation hits appetite for gadgets?

As inflation drives up the cost of living, technology analysts are watching for signs of slowing consumer spending on 'lifestyle' items. On June 27, Sony Ericsson cited moderating demand for mid to high-end mobile phones as a factor in its need to issue a profit warning for the second quarter. Unemployment and Oil on Investors' Minds Ahead of Holiday

16,000 more Americans joined the unemployment line last week and continuing claims higher; 62,000 jobs were shed in June and the unemployment rate held at 5.5 percent.
